VE Day at the Farm

Join us in raising a glass to those who served at home and abroad for us this virtual VE Day.

We would really like to hear your personal tributes to the heroes you are celebrating on this 75th anniversary of VE Day. Share your stories, photos and memories with us on our Facebook & Instagram. You are also welcome to email them to us, we would be more than happy to share your wonderful memories online. Email info@whiterowfarm.co.uk

If you’re visiting the Farm Shop for your essentials trip, the girls will be getting in the spirit with wartime music, bunting and dressing up! We will also be honouring the 2 minutes silence at 11am and hope you will join us whether you’re in the shop or at home. For further details regarding our opening times this weekend please SEE HERE

Phenomenal fundraising efforts from the likes of Col. Tom Moore, remind us that although VE Day was 75 years ago, the strength of the British spirit to come together when the going gets tough lives on!

If we can’t celebrate together, we’d love you to join us here online for a virtual VE Day to remain connected as a community to our shared past, and to toast heroes lost and present!

To get the tributes rolling, attached below is a picture from White Row's very own Heather Tucker:

“My dad, Norman Turner, served in REME (Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers) and was posted to Italy. He was in Naples and Rome. Whilst on the island of Capri he and his fellow servicemen were invited to meet Gracie Fields at her villa!’ "
